Triple Brook Farm Survey

Field pea on harvest day

popcorn shoots

Popcorn when weight is removed.

Popcorn shoots at harvest a few days later.

If harvest were to be delayed, and the tray of shoots put under light for 18 hours, the leaf would fill out and become green, and be harvested as a slightly different product.

Micro Radmix Process

Here are some of the steps of producing a microgreen mixture of white daikon radish and purple triton radish - radmix.

I hydrate and store my media in a large tote, and use a solo cup to scoop it into trays.

Flatten the media in the trays, and spread the seeds evenly.

Water with a spray, then I cover with paper towels, and water again to moisten the paper towels.

I then stack them for so weight is applied to help germination. Usually they are added to the already stacked trays of sunflower and field pea. The seed bin adds extra weight.

After a few days they will have sprouted, and ready to enjoy and absorb light.

Keep evenly moist under 18 hours per day of light, until desired height and leaf density.

Harvest and store at 36-38 degrees.

Garden Radishes

In the last couple weeks, along with microgreens, I have sold some French Breakfast and Easter Egg Radishes.

Arugula and Greens Mix are producing as well.
Snow peas are sprouted and looking good for May production.
